About the Festival

We are delighted to be launching the Left Bank Opera Festival in collaboration with Left Bank Leeds.

The aim of the Festival is to bring artists and audiences together every year to enjoy wonderful performances of rare and wonderful operas, and have the opportunity to explore these operas in more detail.

We look forward to joining with companies from across the region to deliver future Festivals, and we are very pleased to be able to showcase the work of Aspect Opera in this year's Festival.

Accommodation

For a very nearby hotel, we recommend Headingley Lodge Hotel.

Whilst its reasonable rates and modern rooms make it a good choice when visiting the Festival, the main reason to stay here is that rooms look out directly onto Headingley Stadium - the home of Yorkshire County Cricket Club!

There are a very many hotels in Leeds City Centre, and with Left Bank only a short journey from the City Centre, why not take a look at The Queens, Doubletree, or Malmaison.

Eating and drinking

Leeds city centre has many wonderful places to eat and drink - here are a couple of Northern Opera Group favourites!

The Reliance, 76 North Street

Art's Cafe, 42 Call Lane

There are two very good independent restaurants a few minutes walk from Left Bank:

Grove Cafe, 133 Cardigan Road

Lupe's Cantina, 204 Cardigan Road

Other things to see and do

Leeds has a plethora of shops, events and places to visit - for more information please go to the Visit Leeds website

Additionally, Left Bank is a five-minute walk from Burley Park Train Station, with direct routes to Leeds City Centre, Harrogate, York and Knaresborough.
